When you choose ESB Flooring, you are guaranteed quality. We source the highest quality flooring products on the market and are committed to ensuring that you receive the best value for your investment.
The ESB Flooring warranty is issued at the date of purchase and covers our flooring products. We warrant that any flooring purchased directly from ESB Flooring will comply with the given product description. In addition, our warranty ensures that the flooring you receive is of high quality and is suitable for the purpose for which our products are commonly supplied, provided our products are used for their intended purpose, and installed and maintained in line with manufacturer specifications. The warranty is not transferable and proof of purchase is required to make a claim. Please keep the warranty in a safe place, stapled to your purchase receipt. Since each flooring product is entirely unique and many of our products comprise natural wood, the manufacturer’s warranty will differ slightly from product to product. Please refer to the manufacturer’s warranty provided for complete information.
The purchaser named on the order is responsible for ensuring upon delivery that the product is satisfactory and matches the purchased item before installation. It is their duty to promptly report any imperfections related to colour, grade, size, or overall appearance. Please note that natural wood differs in colour variation, grain, and texture.
The installer’s responsibility is to identify any damaged or unsatisfactory boards before installation. Claims cannot be accepted once the installation is complete.
Inherent characteristics such as knots, grain, and colour are not considered defects. Since such characteristic variations occur naturally, new and/or replaced flooring may not be an exact match. Additionally, exposure to sunlight can change the colour of any wood floor and this is not considered a defect; some woods will lighten when exposed to UV rays, while others will darken. Wood flooring will also naturally expand and contract with temperature variances; when this occurs you may notice separation between floorboards. This is normal and is not a product defect, as such it is not covered by the ESB Flooring warranty.
Any deemed damage as a result of lacquer or oil finishes is not classified as damage to the product, as finishes are an addition to the product and are subject to correct application. Wood flooring also requires maintenance. Please follow our maintenance recommendations to ensure your flooring is properly cared for. General maintenance guidelines may be viewed here; product-specific maintenance guidelines will be shared with you at the time of purchase.
Should you have any concerns or complaints regarding your flooring purchase, please contact ESB Flooring immediately and we will quickly investigate your claim. We have the right to inspect the flooring product in question and any issue verified as such that is attributed to a manufacturing fault, will be rectified on an individual basis.
The ESB Flooring warranty shall be deemed invalid if damage occurs due to moisture, mechanics, heavy objects, uneven surfaces, underfloor heating, incorrect installation, improper maintenance, heavy foot traffic, high heels, pet claws, abrasives, and accidents or natural disasters.
